Website accessibility auditsby people who ship accessible products
Manual WCAG 2.1 AA audits, reports your developers can actually act on, and remediation if you want it done for you. From $499, typically 1-2 weeks.
"If it isn't accessible, it isn't finished." That's our engineering standard, not a slogan.
Why teams come to us
You got a demand letter
ADA website lawsuits and demand letters hit thousands of small businesses a year. We audit fast, fix what's found, and document conformance.
You sell into the EU
The European Accessibility Act applies to e-commerce and consumer services since June 2025. Non-EU companies selling to EU customers are in scope.
Enterprise procurement asked
A VPAT or accessibility conformance report is now a standard checkbox in B2B deals. We produce the evidence.
You just want it done right
Accessibility done early is cheap; retrofitted late is expensive. If you're building now, an audit sets the baseline.
What you get
Full WCAG 2.1 AA audit
Automated scans catch about 30% of WCAG criteria. We test the other 70% by hand: keyboard-only navigation, screen reader output (VoiceOver and NVDA), focus order, form error handling, and custom component semantics.
A report your team can act on
Every issue mapped to its WCAG criterion, with severity, the affected pages, and the specific fix. Written for developers to implement, and for you to show a lawyer, a procurement team, or an auditor.
Remediation, if you want it
We can fix what we find. Same team, fixed quote based on the audit, and we retest everything after. You get a site that passes, not just a PDF that says it doesn't.
A statement you can publish
An accessibility statement for your site reflecting your real conformance status, which the EU Accessibility Act and many procurement processes now expect.
Credibility you can check: every kit on this site is WCAG AA, and our free accessibility tools are used by thousands of developers.
How it works
Run the free scan
Our automated checker gives you an instant baseline for any URL. Free, no signup.
Book a 15-min call
We scope the audit: how many pages and flows, your deadline, what's driving it. Fixed quote on the call or within a day.
Audit in 1-2 weeks
Manual testing on your key flows, full report with fixes, and a walkthrough call with your team.
Fix and verify
Your developers fix from the report, or ours do. Either way we retest and confirm before you publish a conformance statement.
Fixed quote on the call or within one business day.
Frequently asked questions
What does a website accessibility audit cost?
Our audits start at $499 for a focused audit of your key pages and flows, which is what most small business and SaaS sites need. Larger sites and full VPAT documentation are quoted after a short scoping call. Remediation is quoted separately once we know what's broken, and audit fees are credited toward remediation if you hire us to fix it.
Why isn't an automated scan enough?
Automated tools can only verify about 30% of WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. They can't tell whether focus order makes sense, whether a screen reader announces your custom dropdown correctly, or whether error messages actually help someone recover. Courts and regulators know this too, which is why an overlay widget or a passing automated scan doesn't protect you.
Who does the audit?
The team behind thefrontkit. We ship WCAG AA products for a living: every kit on this site is keyboard-navigable and screen-reader tested, and we maintain free accessibility tools used by thousands of developers. Accessibility isn't a service line we added; it's how we build.
How fast can you turn it around?
A focused audit typically takes 1-2 weeks from the scoping call. If you're responding to a demand letter and need it faster, say so on the call and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.
Do you fix the issues too, or just report them?
Both. Many clients have their own developers fix from our report, which is written to make that easy. If you don't, our team does the remediation on a fixed quote and retests everything after. On Next.js and React sites we're especially fast, because that's our home stack.
