Docebo Alternatives: 10 Corporate LMS Options Compared for 2026

Short answer: for a small or mid-size team that wants published prices, TalentLMS (free up to 5 users, then from $119/month) or 360Learning ($8 per user per month for up to 100 users). For a full enterprise RFP, Absorb, LearnUpon, Litmos and CYPHER Learning are the usual shortlist, all quote-only. If you want open source, Moodle Workplace or Open edX. And if training is part of a product you already run, build it in with our Full-Stack LMS Kit.

Docebo doesn't publish prices. Its pricing page lists two learning platform plans, Elevate and Enterprise, both with "Custom pricing tailored to your organization's needs," plus Skills Intelligence and a list of paid add-ons (advanced analytics, a branded mobile app and more). You get a number after a sales call.

That's normal for enterprise L&D. It also means "Docebo alternatives" is usually one of two searches. Either a smaller company got a quote that was bigger than expected, or an L&D team is heading into renewal and wants a better negotiating position. This guide covers both.

We checked every vendor's own pricing page on October 24, 2026. Where a vendor is quote-only, we say so.

Training built into your own product? Start from the kit

The Full-Stack LMS Kit gives you 55 routes on Next.js and Supabase: student, instructor and admin portals, 38 database tables with row-level security, real auth, a quiz engine, certificates and analytics. $332 one-time. Only need the interface? The LMS Kit is 39 screens for $131.

What Docebo Actually Does Well

Docebo is built for large organizations with more than one audience. The same platform can train employees, customers and partners, each with their own branding and catalog. That "extended enterprise" setup is a big part of why it shows up on enterprise shortlists.

It also goes beyond the LMS. Skills Intelligence adds workforce and career tools, and the add-on list covers advanced analytics, a branded mobile app and AI roleplay. For a global L&D team that needs all of that under one contract, it's a strong fit.

The flip side is cost and complexity. If you're a 150-person company that needs onboarding, compliance courses and a few quizzes, you're paying for a lot you'll never switch on.

When to Leave Docebo

  1. The renewal quote has outgrown your usage. If most of your learners take two compliance courses a year, a per-user or flat-rate LMS will cost less.
  2. Admins find it heavy. Smaller L&D teams often want something one person can run.
  3. Training belongs inside your product. If you're training customers on your own software, a separate LMS with its own login is friction. Building the learning layer in can make more sense.

1. TalentLMS

The easiest corporate LMS to start on, and one of the few with prices on the page.

Strengths:

  • Free plan for up to 5 users and 10 courses, with no time limit
  • Fast setup that a single admin can manage
  • Clear, published pricing by user tier
  • Annual billing saves 20%

Weaknesses:

  • Pro charges $6 per additional user past 100
  • Less depth for complex, multi-audience enterprise setups than Docebo
  • Enterprise pricing is quote-only

Pricing: Free (5 users), Core $119/month (up to 100 users), Grow $229/month (up to 500 users), Pro $449/month. Enterprise starts at 1,000 users and is quote-only.

Best for: SMBs replacing Docebo with something cheaper and simpler.

2. 360Learning

Collaborative learning: subject experts across the company build courses alongside the L&D team.

Strengths:

  • Peer authoring and feedback built into the workflow
  • Team plan at $8 per user per month, billed monthly with no annual commitment
  • Good fit for companies that want internal experts to share knowledge

Weaknesses:

  • Team caps at 100 users
  • Business and Enterprise are quote-only and generally on annual contracts
  • The collaborative model needs buy-in from managers to work

Pricing: Team $8/user/month (up to 100 users). Business and Enterprise are quote-only.

Best for: Mid-size companies that want employees creating and sharing training.

3. Absorb LMS

The other name on most enterprise shortlists.

Strengths:

  • Built for large, multi-audience training programs
  • Heavy investment in AI features (the company now runs on absorbai.com)
  • Mature reporting and admin tooling

Weaknesses:

  • No published pricing at all
  • Same enterprise sales cycle you're trying to get away from
  • Likely overkill for a small team

Pricing: Quote only. The pricing form asks for learner count, from 1 to 50 up to 25,000+.

Best for: Enterprises that want a Docebo-class platform from a different vendor at renewal time.

4. LearnUpon

Corporate LMS with separate setups for employees, customers and associations.

Strengths:

  • Packages for employee training, customer education and associations
  • Multi-portal setup for different audiences

Weaknesses:

  • Quote-only pricing
  • User minimums: from 100 users for employees, 150 for associations and 300 for customer education

Pricing: Quote only.

Best for: Companies training customers and partners as well as staff.

5. iSpring Learn

The LMS from the iSpring Suite authoring-tool company.

Strengths:

  • Works closely with iSpring Suite, a popular PowerPoint-based authoring tool
  • Published annual pricing by user count
  • 30-day trial, no card required

Weaknesses:

  • You pay per user per year, so costs scale with headcount
  • Enterprise pricing is quote-only
  • Strongest if you already use iSpring authoring tools

Pricing: Business is $8,286/year for 100 users (about $6.91 per user per month), $16,050/year for 300 users and $23,790/year for 500 users. Enterprise is quote-only.

Best for: Teams already authoring in iSpring Suite.

ispring.com

6. Litmos

Corporate LMS with off-the-shelf course content.

Strengths:

  • Bundles an LMS with a library of ready-made training content
  • Published starting prices
  • Suits compliance-heavy training

Weaknesses:

  • Starting prices are annual and not small
  • Platinum AI is quote-only
  • Per-user details need a sales conversation

Pricing: Foundation from $8K/year, Platinum from $15K/year. Platinum AI is quote-only.

Best for: Companies that want content and the platform from one vendor.

litmos.com

7. CYPHER Learning

LMS with a strong focus on AI-generated course content.

Strengths:

  • AI-assisted course creation is the headline feature
  • Separate products for businesses, schools and training companies
  • Comes up often in Docebo comparisons

Weaknesses:

  • Quote-only pricing on both plans (Enhanced and Enterprise)
  • AI-generated content still needs expert review

Pricing: Quote only.

Best for: Small L&D teams that need to produce a lot of courses fast.

8. Moodle Workplace

Moodle, with the corporate features added.

Strengths:

  • Built on open-source Moodle, so you're not locked into one vendor
  • Adds workplace features like multi-tenancy, certifications and dynamic rules
  • Deep assessment tooling from Moodle's 20+ years in education

Weaknesses:

  • Sold and hosted through Moodle Certified Partners, so there's still a quote
  • The UI feels academic next to Docebo
  • Customization quality depends on your partner

Pricing: Quote via a Moodle Certified Partner. Plain Moodle LMS is free and open source. For other options, see our Moodle alternatives guide.

Best for: Organizations that want open-source foundations with corporate features.

moodle.com

9. Open edX

The open-source platform behind edX, used at university scale.

Strengths:

  • Free and open source (AGPL)
  • Handles very large learner counts
  • Strong assessment and analytics

Weaknesses:

  • Real DevOps commitment, or a paid hosting provider
  • Academic default UI
  • Corporate features like HRIS sync take integration work

Pricing: Free to licence. You pay for hosting and engineering.

Best for: Large organizations with an engineering team and a preference for owning the stack.

10. Build It In: Full-Stack LMS Kit and LMS Kit

This one's for a specific buyer: a company training customers or users on its own software, where a separate LMS login is the problem.

Let's be upfront about the fit. The kits aren't a drop-in Docebo replacement for an enterprise L&D team. They don't include SCORM playback, HRIS sync or compliance reporting. Our custom LMS vs white-label guide explains when that matters and prices the build against a hosted LMS.

What they do give you is a working learning platform you own, inside your own product.

Full-Stack LMS Kit: 55 routes on Next.js 16, Tailwind CSS v4, shadcn/ui and Supabase.

  • Three portals: student, instructor and admin
  • 38 database tables with row-level security for each role
  • Supabase Auth with email, Google and GitHub sign-in
  • Quiz engine with scoring and pass/fail tracking
  • Certificates, XP, badges, a leaderboard and streaks
  • Discussions, live sessions, study groups and messages
  • Instructor curriculum builder and student analytics
  • Admin user management, approvals, coupons, announcements and an audit log
  • Live demo

Not included: video hosting, payment processing (Stripe isn't wired up), email sending, real-time collaboration, or a production Supabase project (the free tier works for development).

LMS Kit: the 39-screen frontend on its own. Student dashboard, course catalog, a video lesson player with bookmarks, a quiz engine with timer and results, discussion forums, certificates, instructor tools and an admin panel. WCAG AA. No backend, database, video hosting, server-side payment code or email notifications. Live demo.

Neither kit has drip scheduling or cohort features.

Pricing: Full-Stack LMS Kit $332 solo, $499 team, $749 agency. LMS Kit $131 solo, $199 team, $349 agency. One-time, no per-user fees.

Best for: SaaS companies building customer academies and teams that want training inside their own app. Compare it with other templates in Best LMS Templates.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best alternative to Docebo?

For SMBs, TalentLMS: it has a free plan for 5 users and published paid tiers from $119/month. For enterprises, Absorb and LearnUpon are the closest like-for-like options. For open source, Moodle Workplace.

How much does Docebo cost?

Docebo doesn't publish prices. Both learning plans (Elevate and Enterprise) are custom-quoted, and features like advanced analytics and a branded mobile app are paid add-ons. You'll need a sales call for a number.

Why is Docebo so expensive?

It's priced for enterprises that train several audiences at once and want AI, skills and analytics tools in one contract. If you only use the core LMS, a lot of what you're paying for goes unused, which is the usual reason teams switch to TalentLMS or 360Learning.

Is there a free alternative to Docebo?

TalentLMS has a free plan for up to 5 users and 10 courses. Moodle LMS and Open edX are free and open source, though you pay for hosting and admin time.

Which Docebo alternatives publish their prices?

TalentLMS, 360Learning (Team plan), iSpring Learn and Litmos (starting prices) all show numbers on their pricing pages. Absorb, LearnUpon and CYPHER Learning are quote-only.

The Honest Take

Docebo earns its price when you use the whole thing: multiple audiences, skills tools and deep analytics. Most teams searching for alternatives don't. If that's you, TalentLMS or 360Learning will cover the core for much less, and you'll know the price before the first call.

If you're shopping enterprise to enterprise, get quotes from Absorb and LearnUpon before your Docebo renewal. And if your training really belongs inside your own product, price out building it once with the Full-Stack LMS Kit and our cost guide.
